(“Epson”) makes this Website available (“www.epson.it”) subject to compliance with the “Terms of Use” hereunder. Access to any page of this Website entails full acceptance of these “Terms of Use”. PERSONAL INFORMATION

Pursuant to Art. 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196 of June 30th, 2003, we inform you of the following in relation to the personal data provided to us that we will process.
After filling in the fields found on the Site www.epson.it the personal data requested by or provided to Epson Italia S.p.A. will be subject to processing that is prearranged for Epson Italia S.p.A. All the data provided will be stored during the procedure or afterwards, should this be necessary to fulfill the obligations connected to or arising from the regulatory provisions.
When you register on an Epson Website, you will be asked for information such as your name and last name, address, age, e-mail address and tax identification number (collectively the “Personal Information”). In addition, you might be requested for additional personal information, such as, for example, your gender, work activity and telephone number (the “Optional Information”). Providing the Optional Information is not mandatory. However, if you do not provide this information, Epson will not be able to offer targeted services or customized content. Any Personal Information provided at the time of registration should be correct and updated. If this information changes following registration, correct or update it immediately. Otherwise, no service, notice or information may be received from Epson.
Epson may use the Personal Information or Optional Information (collectively the “User Information”) to manage and/or improve the Site, based on provisions set out in this Privacy Statement.
Please note that you can access and use Epson Sites partially without providing any Personal Information and/or Optional Information, except for certain areas that require the registration of such information.

USE OF DATA COLLECTED BY EPSON

“Use of data collected by Epson” means any operation carried out on data from the time it is collected until it is destroyed. Use can occur with or without the aid of electronic or automated means and will also include, in compliance with the limits and conditions set out by Art. 11 of Legislative Decree 196/2003, communication and dissemination to the parties referred to in “Sharing of Data Held by Epson” below, nevertheless always in compliance with the provisions of Articles 19 and 25 of Legislative Decree 196/2003.
The data collected by Epson (Personal Information and/or Optional Information) following registration is intended for the supply of customized and targeted services for Website visitors. Thanks to the collected data, Epson can offer content based on the user’s preferences, which are analyzed in order to improve the service offered. Users’ information may also be used to send offers regarding products that may interest them by mail or e-mail.
Communications by mail or e-mail may contain information considered useful for the user, including information on new Epson products and services. Finally, Epson may contact customers to invite them to participate in market research. Notices by mail or e-mail will be sent exclusively to customers who have indicated their acceptance to receive such communications. STORAGE OF DATA

User Information is stored until the user requests cancellation of the service or upon expiration of the period set out in the applicable regulations. The user has the right to request details regarding his own personal information stored by Epson, as well as to request that it be modified or cancelled in compliance with Art. 7 of Legislative Decree 196/2003. SHARING OF DATA HELD BY EPSON

The data held by Epson (Personal Information and Optional Information) may not be transferred to third parties without the user’s consent, unless deemed in good faith useful for law enforcement or necessary to protect Epson’s rights and property.

INFORMATION COLLECTION, USE AND DISSEMINATION

At the time the information is requested, Epson Sites offer the possibility to choose whether to receive notices (by mail and e-mail) from Epson or its partners. Any communication by mail or e-mail will also include instructions for unsubscribing so as not to receive further notices in the future. As already indicated above, you can choose not to provide any of the information requested, although this will limit Epson’s possibility to provide targeted services and customized content. For example, Epson’s e-mail registration form requests information on the user’s contact information (such as e-mail address), demographic data (such as postal code and age), as well as information concerning the use of Epson products.

COOKIES

Subscription to all Epson services can be entirely cancelled. Once subscription is cancelled, the information will be removed completely from Epson’s database. PROCEDURES FOR THE PROTECTION AGAINST THE LOSS, IMPROPRER USE OR ALTERATION OF THE INFORMATION UNDER EPSON’S CONTROL

Epson has provided for adequate measures to ensure that the information is exclusively accessible to the user directly concerned and to Epson’s partners. Epson’s partners have agreed to use the data in accordance with the Epson Privacy Statement and applicable European laws on data protection.

Epson guarantees that User Information is secure and will not be transferred to third parties, except for the circumstances described in the Privacy Statement; it is understood that Epson may transfer any Personal Information and/or Optional Information to third parties in the following cases:

(b) if Epson is required to provide the Personal Information and/or Optional Information based on current regulations, court orders or other legal procedures;
